ex-jehovah’s witness testimony

Journey to Freedom
My transformation from being raised as a Jehovah’s Witness in Atlanta, Georgia, to ultimately leaving the organization. After the death of my mother, I departed at the age of 18, only to return briefly 14 years later. Upon my return, I became disenchanted with the community’s teachings and behaviors. Inspired by Raymond Franz’s book, I began to recognize the organization’s shortcomings and uncovered allegations of abuse within it. This revelation prompted me to reject the faith and inform my sons of my decision. In 2023, I officially severed my ties with Jehovah’s Witnesses.
A New Awakening
In 2023, I began visiting various churches and fell in love with the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. She immersed herself in studying the Scriptures and read extensively about hell, realizing its reality. In May 2023, while preparing for work, I watched a video by David Diga Hernandez titled, “How to Receive the Holy Spirit + The Gift of Tongues.” During the session, he encouraged the audience to pray in the Spirit, leading to a profound encounter with the Holy Spirit. To my astonishment, I began praying in tongues—something I had long desired but never achieved.
An electric sensation coursed through my body, causing me to shake, and soon I was speaking in an unknown language. Excitedly, I went to work, still speaking in tongues! This experience ignited a passion within me to preach the Gospel and share my story with everyone I knew. It was a beautiful moment, yet as I drew closer to Jesus, I faced increased spiritual warfare. I encountered disturbances from witches, warlocks, and demons in my sleep and dreams, all attempting to thwart my life. However, my praises to God for keeping me safe and using me powerfully in the spiritual realm through trances, open visions, and dreams.
